VERG is a blessing for Brooklyn..

VERG has been absolutely amazing for my little cat Meimei, “the danger cat!”

Just two weeks ago, when she was mysteriously vomiting, Dr. Diaz gave us the absolute BEST care imaginable: she was compassionate, thoughtful, and incredibly thorough. Dr. Diaz is simply inimitable. She made the whole scary and traumatic experience as good as it could be. I am happy to say that Meimei is back to her normal, rambunctious self!

My thanks to VERG, though, are already overdue. Back in August, troublemaker Mei ate a needle, to my great horror! This was our first time at VERG, and Dr. Murphy was kind and helpful. I was very impressed that the technicians immediately came out to do triage. An X-ray revealed the needle, and a few hours later, Dr. Gavin performed a successful and complication-free endoscopy.

As you may imagine, I have been singing VERG’s praises to anyone who will listen.

Thank you, Dr. Diaz, Dr. Murhpy, Dr. Gavin, thank you VERG, you are such a blessing for Brooklyn.

Thank you Dr. Slade & everyone at VERG

These amazing people saved my kitty’s life! They have been incredible about taking the time to patiently, carefully, and thoroughlyexplain every question I have had… even when I’ve called in a panic at 5 in the morning. I cannot thank Dr. Slade, his team, and all of the staff at VERG enough for their compassionate and, most importantly, successful care!!

Mochi meets Dr. Kingsley…

I came here as a referral from my regular vet on a February night as a blubbery, relentlessly sobbing mess with my then still a puppy, Mochi. Two hours prior, my 5.5lb puppy had a horrible accident involving a much heavier portable oil heater. The nice vet techs took him and the receptionists in the front along with the office staff were comforting me and offered me tissues as I continued to sob.

I met with Dr. Kingsley who told me the x-rays showed that half of his front right paw was shattered and stitches were needed to close the wound that resulted from the impact. She was so sweet and empathetic the entire consult. She made aware my options in regards to billing and was not whatsoever pushy on the treatment plan. She was very clear what the healing process would entail and provided lots of detailed information on everything. She also called the next morning and a few more times after that to check in on how he was doing and just beyond nice and understanding.

I had to go to VERG for more visits over the month to change his cast and amazing heart-warm service was provided every time. I really appreciated how clean it always was and the open space at VERG when I had to wait each time during the visits. I am really happy to know that should anything bad occur again (knock on wood), VERG is definitely gonna make it a little easier to handle.

Dr. Grzby thank you!!

I’m leaving this review for Dr. Katie Grzyb.

We brought our 9 year old pit bull to VERG at 1 am on a Saturday. She was having trouble walking and was very stiff and obviously in pain. Dr. Grzyb was there and she was fantastic. Talk about bedside manner! Very friendly, very smart and Ori loved her. She was wellspoken, didn’t talk down to us and genuinely seemed to care about our dog’s wellbeing. She was great.

We all left with a sense of hope and she didn’t push us into getting Ori tested for anything that didn’t make sense. She suggested to wait the night with the medication she prescribed and then we could start tests and see what we could rule out. Great care, thank you!

I love Dr. Lantis…

Dr. Arnt has left and Dr. Lantis is the new cardiologist. This review is specifically about her and my experience with her.

I LOVE THIS WOMAN! OMG she’s so wonderful! I was so hesitant to see a new specialist given my dog’s progressive heart disease.

I think Dr. Lantis has been the ONLY doctor of any kind (and I’ve seen about six) to be able to figure out what’s wrong with my dog. Yes, she has heart disease and a collapsing trachea, but she’s had a horrible hacking cough since I adopted her and it’s gotten worse and worse in the last few months. Dr. Lantis said that on top of those other conditions, Poms sometimes get a mild bronchitis/inflammation and that that was probably making the hear condition and trachea even worse.

Dr. Lantis recommended antibiotics and steroids for a few days and I saw a major improvement in my dog’s cough within a day or two. Amazing.

Unfortunately, my dog’s condition is progressive so there’s not much I can do but keep her comfortable and give her meds. In the meantime, I’m so grateful that I found Dr. Lantis. I believe she’ll be able to help me keep my baby as healthy as possible given the circumstances.  Couldn’t more highly recommend her!
